The Zambia Institute of Banking and Financial Services (ZIBFS) was established in 1992 with the main objective of Promoting Professionalism and Ethical Conduct among professionals within the Banking and Financial Services Sector.
During its 27 years of service, ZIBFS has emerged as a premier institute in banking and finance training and education for those employed as well as seeking employment in the sector, aiming for professional excellence and ethical conduct. Since inception, the Institute has educated numerous members and awarded several banking and finance qualifications, viz., Professional Diploma in Banking & Financial services (PDBFS), Advanced Professional Diploma in Banking & Financial Services (APDBFS), Certified Credit Professional Programme (CCP), Diploma and Certificate in Banking & Finance, and Post Graduate Certificates in specialized areas such as Retail Banking and Risk Management, and helped graduates to sustain their professionalism through Continuing Professional Development programs.

This is a call to all Grade 12 School leavers and professionals working in the financial sector to enrol for the professional qualifications in Banking & Finance with the Zambia Institute of Banking & Financial Services (ZIBFS).
Study with the Zambia Institute of Banking & Financial Services (ZIBFS) and obtain up to 2 years exemptions on degree programmes relating to banking and finance from various reputable universities in Zambia. The Institute has exemption collaborations with various local Universities under which ZIBFS graduates obtain up to 2 years exemptions on the banking and finance related degree programmes. This means that a ZIBFS Diploma holder can obtain their academic degree in just two years after obtaining exemptions from the University based on the ZIBFS qualifications.
Programmes offered by the Institute are very practical in nature and have proven to be very popular among students and working professionals in the banking & financial services industry. Graduates on Institute programmes have given very positive feedback on the quality of Institute Examinations and that they have learnt a lot during their course of study. Examinations at the Institute are held twice a year for each programme.
