Over the years, the Institute has presented awards to deserving industry leaders and players by way of hosting the Banking & Finance Awards (BFA) annual event which is aimed at recognising outstanding achievements in various categories for banks, NBFIs and Fintech companies.
The BFA’s overall agenda is focused on recognizing outstanding individual and corporate achievements and contribution to the growth of the banking and financial services sector in Zambia. Therefore, the ZIBFS and BAZ continue to enhance the recognition of deserving industry leaders and players in various categories, including but not limited to, the leadership category which highlights the CEO of the Year, technology/digital banking, customer service, product innovation, corporate social responsibility, and others.
We are excited to host you once again at the Banking & Financial Services Conference as well as the Award Gala Dinner. The 2023 conference (has an all-encompassing theme of “Inside Tomorrow’s Bank-Assessing Growth Drivers post Covid 19: Is Technology the Answer?” which has been informed by the industry and from past editions. The 2023 agenda will include a broad range of case studies, researched paper presentations, panel discussions, and debates by top speakers, bringing theoretical and practical experiences on growth drivers post-COVID-19 for the sector.
On the second day, the 2023 Banking Conference will close with the ‘bigger and better’ 2023 Banking & Financial Services Awards (BFA) Gala Dinner on Friday 24th November 2023 at 19:00hrs. This event covers banks, NBFIs, and Fintech Award categories. This is an important event for the financial sector, and it attracts all players from the financial sector and beyond.
This 2023 Banking & Finance Conference and Awards event couldn’t be timelier as it endeavors to acknowledge and recognise the various achievements of industry professionals and corporates in driving the banking and financial services sector to greater heights. Sub-themes to be discussed during the Conference by renowned speakers include, among others, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation: New technologies for a new business model, Broadening Financial Services beyond Banking: Disruption vs Development, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning & Data Analytics, Agency banking, and Client protection Vis credit reporting.
Speakers at the conference include renowned experts in banking and financial services. Moderated panels of discussants will also form part of the conference programme. We are anticipating more than 300 participants to be in attendance.
